Veyra: When Truth Meets the Road

The Veyra Experience

Imagine settling into your driver's seat, turning the key, and hearing something extraordinary: the whisper-quiet purr of your precision engine breathing like a fine luxury, performance car but at mid-range price! You step on the gas and it roars to life like a tiger as you experience ethanol at ultra-high compression.

This is totally unexpected - most cars that achieve enormous fuel savings can't deliver intense power when you need it.

This is Veyra – a novel internal combustion engine that enables your morning commute to be twice as affordable, shrinking your carbon footprint to match an electric vehicle's - mixing sustainability with excitement without sacrifice. Made with the soul of the tourbillon, it is intricately designed to take the pressure off the people and automakers by sincerely and drastically expanding the horizons of the internal combustion engine.

Why EVs, Current Combustion Engines, and Hydrogen Can't Scale

Toyota chiefs had long stated that petrol combustion engines are here to stay well into 2050. As EV infrastructure lags far behind targets and hybrids begin to dominate, they appear right. But combustion engines are facing fierce battles too - inflation, emissions qualifications, and performance-demands squeeze engineers in a vice - smaller engines, incredibly powerful, but cheap! The response? Corners are cut and cars are breaking early (note GM lines, Hyundai’s Kia, Ford’s EcoBoost, etc).

As for truth about electric and hydrogen vehicles? They're impractical at the scale needed to actually solve climate change.

Electric vehicles demand massive lithium, copper, and rare earth mining – all environmentally destructive, geopolitically unstable, and increasingly constrained. Even modest EV adoption stresses national grids, requiring over $2 trillion in global upgrades. Charging infrastructure gaps remain unsolved across major markets like Brazil, India, and rural America. Battery degradation means replacement costs that wipe out savings, while range limitations keep EVs locked into short-distance use.

Hydrogen is worse. 95% of today's hydrogen supply comes from CO2-heavy natural gas production. Scaling aviation-grade cryogenic storage and distribution would demand nearly a trillion dollars in entirely new infrastructure. Both pathways force us deeper into dependence on fragile, foreign-controlled mineral supply chains while demanding environmentally destructive mining at unprecedented scales.

The infrastructure costs alone – $1-2 trillion globally – are staggering enough to deter mass investments. But even if we had that money, building out hydrogen and EV infrastructure takes 15-20+ years. The planet can't wait that long, and neither can your wallet.

EVs and hydrogen do at least buy us some time and help make people aware of the climate crisis. But we are not stuck with these limited options. The pain point is blindingly massive and absolutely needs a completely new possibility.

The Science That Makes It Possible

For over a decade, researchers have known that wet ethanol HCCI (Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition) could achieve up to 43-50% thermal brake efficiency (50% better) – but stable, combustion? Elusive. The leaping breakthrough: Solquatica's proprietary high-energy ignition system that finally achieves stable combustion at extreme compression ratios, even with 60% water dilution.

This builds on proven foundations – technologies like Mazda's SkyActiv, hydrogen engine research, and diesel/syngas systems – unified uniquely with novelties into a single platform that actually works reliably, on demand.

Results? An engine that is up to 3× more fuel-cost efficient (include 1/2 cost fuel from watered down ethanol) and up to 60% less on maintenance and lifespan extension because Veyra runs cooler, cleaner, and more stable than legacy ICE. E.g. the water content cools combustion temperatures, dramatically dropping NOx emissions; this cleaner combustion means fewer deposits, less thermal stress, and gentler emission-reduction systems. Imagine we can honestly tell customers - resell this car for higher prices and visit tuning/repair shops less. All told, your cost of ownership is cut in half.

The infrastructure expansion needed for Veyra is an order of magnitude less expensive than EV or hydrogen transitions. Veyra reduces adoption timelines from 15-20+ years down to 6-8 years of development and launch with longer staying power than EV’s/H2.

Just like the HAWK engine, a joint venture with our partner Rizome Bamboo could go beyond near-carbon neutral and even into staggering CO2 capture. If 20% of their bamboo waste goes into making ethanol, it drastically increases their value in investors' eyes to fund their ambitions of millions of acres of bamboo that could replace construction materials by 12% and reduce global CO2 annually by 30% by 2050. The transportation sector makes up about 13% of global emissions, so a 37% total reduction is not unreasonable. Such high value plants such bamboo, kenaf, and more (engineered lumber, biochar etc) give locals fair trade wages, better local soil, and conserved forests (less land needed per value output).

A Vision Worth Driving Toward

Veyra means "truth" and "faith" – and that's exactly what it aims to give to the people. Truth that drivers can have luxury, power, immense savings, and heal the planet too. Truth that we don't have to accept collective limiting beliefs of needless suffering. Faith that by 2040, through partnerships with companies like Rizome Bamboo, these cars won't just be carbon neutral – they will be carbon negative, actively capturing CO2 from the atmosphere.

From providing millions of fair-trade agricultural jobs that heal the soils and beautify the world with bamboo, to proving that the most sustainable path forward is also the most prosperous one – Veyra stands for ending the false choice between progress and planet.

Veyra runs flex-fuel until wet ethanol infrastructure fully takes over, making the transition seamless. This is luxury. This is performance. This is healing.

This is Veyra – the truth that sets us free.

The car in the image above was created by inventor David Chen to represent the essence of Veyra precision elegance carried into automobiles. Our startup model is based on licensing Veyra technologies to automakers - likely starting with Brazilian automakers as they already make flex-fuel ethanol vehicles and are supported by ubiquitous ethanol stations.
